Admissions Process

Applications are received throughout the year, and we would welcome your application at this time.

To apply for admission to the school, please complete the Application for Admission form and submit it to the school together with all required supporting documentation and the required Assessment Fee.

Applicants for admission to our full-day Kindergarten program must be at least 5 years old on December 31st of the year of entry to Brockton.

Admission to the school is determined on the basis of review of the Application for Admission, a personal interview with the student and parent(s) or legal guardian(s), and an academic assessment. The methods of assessment used vary with the Grade level for which a student is seeking admission to the school, as follows:

  • For applicants to Kindergarten, students will participate in a one-on-one assessment with a teacher who will determine the child’s current academic level and his or her readiness for the Brockton program.
  • For applicants to Grades 1, 2 and 3, students will participate in a one-on-one assessment with a teacher who will determine the child’s current academic level and his or her readiness for the Brockton program. If school is in session, these students are invited to join their prospective classmates in the classroom for the day of their assessment.
  • For applicants to Grade 4 and up, students can join their prospective classmates for the morning and then complete a formal assessment in the afternoon of their visit.

Brockton asks all its applicants to spend a half or full day at the school in order to become more familiar with Brockton and its programs. Please contact Mrs. Cathy Grunlund, Head of School at 604.929.9201 or email cgrunlund@brocktonschool.com. We will do our best to accommodate your appointment preferences.
