Ms. Nichole Carrigan
Miss Carrigan is a committed teacher who inspires children to love learning and care for the world around them. She is a graduate of Trent University (Ontario) and Griffith University (Australia) where she gained her Masters of Primary Teaching. She is a qualified Montessori teacher. Miss Carrigan has had opportunities to teach and learn from a variety of schools and cultures, including Mexico, Thailand and Australia where she gained experience with the IB Primary Years Programme. Her travels have opened her eyes and heart to those around the world and her love of working with young children is evident on a daily basis both in the classroom and beyond.
Miss. Skye Desjardins
Miss Desjardins is an enthusiastic, adventurous and creative kindergarten/primary years' teacher with an educational background in Art, Developmental Psychology and English literature as well as her B. Ed. An accomplished artist herself, her teaching experiences includes Art, Language Arts, Physical Education, and Kindergarten. Miss Desjardins also enjoys developing and coordinating co-curricular programmes in fine arts and recreational running. Miss Desjardins is committed to providing students with positive and meaningful learning experiences.
Mr. Ron Fremont
Mr. Fremont is a graduate of UBC where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree and also the Bachelor of Education degree. He is a teacher who engages the interests and abilities of the children in his classroom and is known for building rapport with his students, integrating their ideas into the learning environment and engaging them in critical thinking. Mr. Fremont is also a professional NCCP CanSkate instructor.
Ms. Karen Keech
Ms. Keech is a graduate of McMaster University and the University of Windsor. She worked in the outdoor adventure industry for a number of years before realizing that her interests in education should take her into the classroom. On a daily basis, Ms. Keech's students find her to be a compassionate person, someone who cares about the welfare of each child in the classroom. She brings to Brockton several years of teaching the IB Primary Years Programme in an IB World School. Her personal interests include outdoor recreation, including cross-country skiing, and she sponsors co-curricular programmes in these areas of the Brockton programme.
Mrs. Claire Mills Mrs. Mills began her teaching career in England prior to moving to Canada. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Essex University and a Post Graduate Certificate of Education specializing in the primary years from Kingston University (both in the United Kingdom). In the UK, she was responsible for the science and physical education curriculum development as well as being involved in many co-curricular activities, in particular netball and athletics.
Miss Brooke Muir Miss Muir is a dedicated primary and intermediate level teacher with experience teaching across the curriculum, especially in Language Arts, Science, Technology and Multi-Media applications, and Social Studies. She has a keen interest in science and the world around her. With these interests, she has led students in special projects and sponsors the science club at Brockton. Miss Muir's interests in sports are shared with the students through the school's intramural soccer and outdoor education programmes. Her rapport with students is a tremendous asset to Brockton, where the needs of the individual students are foremost in her mind. In addition to her Bachelor of Science degree in biology, Miss Muir has a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of British Columbia. She is an avid skier and qualified ski instructor.
