In the Classroom

Brockton students learn how to study and while doing so have a great deal of fun.  The atmosphere in the classroom environment encourages students to engage in the learning process each and every day of the school year. The learning environments within the school are set up to encourage students to challenge themselves.  The benefits of creating a fun learning environment that results in the acquisition of knowledge extend far beyond the walls of the school.

As a school accredited by the Ministry of Education of British Columbia, Brockton’s curriculum meets the learning outcomes required by the Ministry of Education.

Brockton exercises its freedom as an independent school by extending the Ministry of Education programme in both scope and depth. To this end, the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme curriculum framework is central to Brockton’s academic program.  In the areas of extracurricular programmes and leadership, Brockton School has also embraced other renowned programmes. For example: students in grade 4 and above attend Outdoor School in the Spring where they learn and engage in team building and character development activities; MYP students are engaged in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme, with a core programme focusing on leadership and service to the community.
