Brockton School is a nondenominational coeducational Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12, independent school, located in North Vancouver, British Columbia. As an IB World School, Brockton offers the Primary Years, Middle Years, Diploma, and recently the Career-Related Programme (making it one of only 40 schools in the world with such distinction).

Early Childhood Educator – On Call Position

Brockton School is currently seeking a certified Early Childhood Educator - On Call, to help us in our mission to inspire the growth of outstanding humans. 

On Call staff play a key role in supporting classroom teachers when absent and continuing the implementation of the curriculum and classroom lessons. Ideal candidates must be collaborative, flexible, and compassionate. Given On Call staff may work closely with all teachers in the school, they must be open to feedback and be reflective about learning opportunities.

Qualifications: At least one of the following certifications:

  • Early Childhood Educators Certificate (ECE).


  • Teaching experience an asset;
  • Experience working directly with young children an asset;
  • Passionate about learning and growing as an educator;
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Flexible and innovative when approaching challenges;
  • Highly organized;
  • Strong time–management and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the implementation of the daily program and instructional activities;
  • Work with children individually or in small groups to develop knowledge, skills, and competencies;
  • Provide thorough and active supervision of students at all times and developmentally appropriate behavioural guidance;
  • Participate in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment;
  • Supervise outdoor play, snack, rest, and meal times;
  • Lead and implement before - and/or after-school programming for students in Junior Kindergarten to Grade 5;
  • Maintain confidentiality about children, their families, and other employees inside and outside of the school;
  • Follow directions given by leadership;
  • Other duties as needed.

Admissions Coordinator

Full Time 6 month contract with possibility to extend

Brockton School is currently seeking an Admissions Coordinator to help the Admissions and Development process for the upcoming enrolment and re-enrolment process. Ideal candidates must be collaborative, flexible, and detail-oriented.  They must be an excellent communicator both written and verbally, as well as a self-starter. As part of the administrative team, the Admissions Coordinator will play a key role in supporting our Admissions and Development processes from start to finish. This is an onsite position to start but has potential for work from home for the right candidate. 

  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Ensuring an effective system of communication with prospective applicants
  • Assisting prospective families as they navigate the online admissions process
  • Assisting with the planning and execution of admissions events including Orientations, Receptions, Open Houses, and assessment & interview sessions 
  • Coordinating the Buddy Family program and Ambassador Programs 
  • Scheduling campus tours, sending e-reminders to families and assisting with required follow-up
  • Assisting with written correspondence including; offer and welcome letters, fielding questions from prospective families and event communications  
  • Maintaining the Admissions databases; including data entry and analytics 
  • Coordinating interviews and follow-up processes with prospective families 
  • Assisting in the coordination of promotional and marketing materials
  • Preparing documentation for new student admissions and ensuring appropriate documentation and entrance fees are received and entered into the database
